Usually there can only be one password policy per domain for all user accounts. That can be problematic as the requirements for user accounts are often very different.
SpecOps Password Policy is the solution for that problem. With SpecOps Password Policy you can implement different password policies for security groups, organizational units and even for individual user accounts.
Password Policy offers granular password complexity requirements when specifying the rules for a password policy. One such rule is the ability to define lists containing words restricted for use in passwords. SPP helps your organization to be password policy compliant.
Additional features are special behavior when an administrator resets lost passwords. A password policy can be configured in that way that it will not be affective when password has been reset, as well as automatically unlocking accounts and requiring the user to change the password at the next logon. This lowers the burden for administrators when resetting lost passwords.
